Olivia’s Heirloom Dress
Usually taught in four 3-hour sessions
Create this heirloom dress with matching slips for your child — sizes 6 mos. – 4 years. The class includes lessons in heirloom techniques of pintucks, lace to lace, lace to fabric, and lace to entredeux. Dress pattern and technique guides are furnished. This class is for the Intermediate to advanced sewer. Knowledge of basic garment construction is needed.
Abbies’ Smocked Dress
Usually taught in four 3-hour sessions
The first time you construct a smocked dress can be challenging. This class will teach you all the construction techniques necessary to create smocked dresses for your child and her 18” doll. Dress pattern and technique guides are furnished. This class is for the intermediate to advanced sewer. Knowledge of smocking and basic garment construction is needed.
Grace’s Yoke Dress
Usually taught in two 4-hour sessions
This versatile dress pattern can be used for dressy or casual occasions in sizes 3 months to 6 years of age. You will learn how to create this dress with professional finishing. Dress pattern and technique guides are furnished. Techniques covered in the class include French bias binding, turn lining dress techniques, and bias trim application. This class is for the intermediate sewer. A matching 18” doll dress pattern is included as a bonus.
Sweet Bishop Dress
Usually taught in four 3-hour sessions
You will be creating a short sleeve bishop day dress with a back opening. Smocking experience is needed. The emphasis of this class is on construction techniques. Smocking designs, pleated sampler bishop fabric, bishop pattern sizes 6 mos. – 2 years and instructions are furnished. Techniques covered in the class include French seams, French bias binding, split French seam placket opening, and lace to fabric hem. Learn the unique smocking techniques and construction methods to create the perfect, classic bishop Dress.
Smocking for Beginners
Usually taught in four 3-hour sessions
This class is for the beginner who wants to learn how to smock, no experience is required. Knowledge of hand embroidery is helpful, but not required. In this class, you will create a sampler of stitches. You will learn the terms and techniques to read smocking designs in the future, gain valuable information about smocking resources and supplies available, and learn how to create basic to advanced smocking stitches.
